Program Description: The College Completion Challenge: A Call to Action identifies the central role that community colleges play in helping our nation, and its people, to achieve important educational goals that pave the way to individual economic success and global competitiveness. This session highlights the core components of Waubonsee Community College’s Presidential Action Initiative, “Excellence through Engagement.” It illustrates the college’s successful programs and activities focusing on leveraging resources to strengthen student access and completion, enhancing civic engagement and community partnerships to provide opportunity; and demonstrating strong financial stewardship, student outcomes, and quality improvements that document accountability.
