Program Description: Since 2006, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), an organization of colleges and universities committed to building a sustainable world, has engaged in a broadly participative process with the higher education and sustainability communities in developing the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System (STARS). STARS is a comprehensive, voluntary, self-administered campus sustainability measurement tool covering all sectors of the university, including curriculum, energy, and purchasing. In this session, STARS staff will discuss how STARS can help institutions measure their sustainability performance, identify areas for improvement, and share best practices and lessons learned.
