Program Description: For-profit higher education has exploded in recent years and dramatically altered the landscape of higher education. This session has two purposes. The first is to provide basic information about the nature and strategies of for-profit higher education today, so that community college leaders can better evaluate its impact. The session will also focus on public policy issues raised by for-profit institutions, including the disinformation campaign launched by some its segments. Appropriation community college responses will be discussed.
Panelists:
David Baime, Senior Vice President, Government Relations and Research, American Association of Community Colleges, DC
