Program Description: Learn what current researchers are discovering about key issues facing community college leaders and how to put these findings into practice. This session addresses institutional issues, the leadership pipeline, and preparing for change. Partnerships are advocated to pool resources and address common problems—but not all joint ventures are created equal. Determine how to strategically engage in these pairings. Hear about how institutions in New Orleans are getting on track post-Katrina. Discover why attention to midlevel leadership development is critical for leadership succession, and obtain a snapshot of how women are faring in the 2-year context.
