Program Description: Embedded in a first-year academic skills development course, the Student Success Coaching Program has increased retention and persistence for developmental-level students at Housatonic Community College. This program, with the integration of faculty and staff and community leaders, has become part of the fabric and culture of the College. In student success coaching, students complete a career interest inventory, attend career panel discussions, and hear from faculty and staff about their own education and career paths. This session will include a career/education path history exercise for participants and describe the administrative and student support elements of the program.
